چکیده

The kinetics of protochlorophyllide phototransformation and of the subsequent blue shift were studied in homogenates prepared from etiolated wheat leaves using fluorescence spectroscopy at high pressures. The pressure dependence of the processes was studied between 0.1 and 400 MPa. The activation volumes were calculated from the pressure dependence of the kinetical curves of the processes and were compared at 20oC and at 40oC. The temperature dependence of the processes was analyzed at atmospheric pressure (0.1 MPa) between 10oC and 40oC. The activation energy of the processes at atmospheric pressure was calculated using Arrhenius plot. The simultaneous variation/change of temperature and pressure provides information about the molecular events occuring during the activation of the processes. Acta Biol Szeged 46(3-4):151-153 (2002)

The formate and redox mechanisms of water-gas shift reaction on the surface of Ag: A nanocluster model based on DFT study

Two different possible mechanisms of water gas shift reaction including formate and redox mechanisms on the Ag5 cluster were investigated using DFT computations. All the elementary steps involved in both mechanisms were considered. It was observed that dissociation of H2Oads and OHads, as well as formation of CO2(ads), required activation e...

Neighboring group’s effect in sigmatropic migration on indol rings. A theoretical study and NBO analysis

Structural properties, energies behavior and NBO analysis was performed for1-5 prototrophic shift endinelboran where substitutions like H, CH3 and CF3 that were placed on Benzene were investigated by usingDFT-B3LYP/6-311+G** level of theory. The Results show that, -BH2 shift doesn’t take place and a kind of[1,3] shift for borotrophic occured. In prototrophic shift, however, [1,5] transition eas...

Investigation of Activation Time on Pore Size Distribution of Activated Carbon Determined with Different Methods

Three activated carbons are synthesized in a rotary reactor at different activation times. The adsorption isotherms of the samples are measured The pore size distribution of the samples is determined using combined Saito and Foley method, BJH method. An average potential function has been determined inside the cylindrical pores. The effect of activation time on the pore size distribution sample...

The effect of mechanical activation on the carbothermic reduction kinetics of hematite-graphite mixture

The effect of mechanical activation on structural changes and kinetics of carbothermic reduction of hematite with graphite was studied in this research. Hematite powder mixture with graphite (with stoichiometry ratio C/O=1) was milled for the time periods of zero to 50 hours, and the structural changes were studied using X ray diffraction (XRD). The effect of mechanical activation on the kineti...

Kinetic Modeling of the High Temperature Water Gas Shift Reaction on a Novel Fe-Cr Nanocatalyst by Using Various Kinetic Mechanisms

In this work the kinetic data demanded for kinetic modeling were obtained in temperatures 350, 400, 450 and 500 oC by conducting experimentations on a Fe-Cr nanocatalyst prepared from a novel method and a commercial Fe-Cr-Cu one. The collected data were subjected to kinetic modeling by using two models derived from redox and associative mechanisms as well as an empirical one. The coefficients o...
